Cordless Reciprocating Saws
Reciprocating saws Corded Vs. Cordless?
I am wondering which kind of Reciprocating saw is better, for the money. I really don’t need a cordless but it would be cool. As well as any brands that I should stay away from and what sizes (amps) I should get.
I am doing home renovation.
The cord type would be the best choice as they will last for a very long time and be ready to use any time you need it. The cordless are great if you are using them for short periods of time and use them frequently in areas where electrical power is not available. It takes extra space to store the batteries and charger and requires attention to make sure the batteries are fully charged when you need to use it.
The saws have come down in price a lot from several years ago and all most any major brand will work for the average home owner.The key thing is to buy high quality blades and do not force the tool, let the tool do the work. I have had a Milwaukee saw for years and like it. I would stay away from the low end brands and buy a mid range brand tool.
